Honoring Veterans Near & Far.

The Blanco County Veterans Memorial was established as a lasting tribute to the brave men and women who have served our nation. Now that the memorial stands completed, its mission continues — not only as a place of remembrance, but as a center for service, community involvement, and ongoing support for veterans and their families.

Rooted in gratitude and guided by the values of the Daughters of the American Revolution, our purpose is to ensure that the sacrifices of our veterans are honored not just in stone, but through action.

Our Purpose

A Living Memorial With a Continuing Mission.

The Memorial is more than a physical place — it is a gathering point for our community to recognize, remember, and serve. Throughout the year, events dedicated to honoring veterans, preserving history, and promoting patriotism will be held.

These events invite the entire community to participate, reflect, and support those who have worn the uniform.

  • Wreaths Across America
  • Memorial Day Observances
  • Community gatherings that support local veterans

Wreaths Across America

Each December, we join thousands of communities nationwide in placing wreaths on the graves of local service members. This powerful ceremony ensures that no veteran is ever forgotten and that future generations understand the cost of freedom.

These events are open to the public and centered on honoring service, celebrating patriotism, and fostering unity.

Support & Legacy: Sponsor a Paver

Although the physical memorial is complete, the opportunity to support its mission remains. Personalized engraved pavers can still be purchased to honor a family member, friend, or loved one who served.

Our vision going forward

The Blanco County Veterans Memorial will continue to stand as:

Get Involved – Volunteer, Donate, Connect

Whether you’re a veteran, a supporter of service, or a friend of the community, there’s a place for you.
