Founding: Why We Built the Memorial

After years of recognizing the sacrifices made by our veterans, members of the local chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) felt Blanco County needed a space — a lasting monument — to honor those who served.

What started as a heartfelt idea became a shared mission: to create a place where families, friends, and community members could gather to reflect, remember, and pay respects.

The people and organizations who made it happen are listed on our Team & Supporters page.
